Objective: design a webpage chronicling the history of women on Saturday Night Live, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, 2025. It is a retelling who made a splash and what kind of impact they made. The sections are separated by decade and include a sort of thesis statement of that era.
The hand painted backgrounds and use of sepia toned photos are inspired by the commercial "bumpers" the show has used since its first episode. Although photography and graphic design at large has changed in the 50 years SNL has been on TV, I used the hand painted photo altering technique used in the first few seasons as my stylistic North Star.
